The agricultural loans financed by the Agricultural Credit Institution during the first half of this year reached JD 15 million, benefiting 3069 farmers to implement agricultural projects in all fields of agricultural investment, both vegetable and animal.
In the first half of the current year, the company collected BD15.3 million from the farmers during the first half of this year, amid good signs of a balance between lending and collection, according to a report issued by the institution yesterday.
The Director General of the Foundation, Eng. Abdullah Freij, stressed the importance of directing the lending institution's policy towards small farmers, rural families and the unemployed through the implementation of several lending projects directed to contribute to reducing the problems of poverty and unemployment in the countryside and the desert.
He pointed out that the projects are implemented in coordination with a number of stakeholders in the public and private sectors, such as agriculture and health ministries, the Hashemite Commission for Military Injuries and the Engineers Syndicate of Agriculture
